What’s Included?

Every cylinder test includes:

  • Full cylinder inspection
  • Complete valve service with standard service parts
  • Hydrostatic pressure test (where applicable)
  • Valve reassembly and installation
  • Air fill upon completion

Our technicians inspect every cylinder thoroughly to ensure it meets current safety standards before being returned to you.

When Does My Cylinder Need Testing?

Diving Cylinders

All diving cylinders require:

  • Visual Inspection every 2.5 years
  • Hydrostatic Test every 5 years

Surface / Gun Cylinders

Surface cylinders fitted with a charging valve, pressure gauge, and bleed screw require:

  • Hydrostatic Test every 5 years

If a cylinder is fitted with a standard diving valve, it must be tested as a diving cylinder, even if it is only used above water.

Oxygen Cleaning & Nitrox

Planning to dive with Nitrox?

We can oxygen clean your cylinder during its test for the most cost-effective solution.

Benefits include:

  • Reduced price when combined with testing
  • Valid for 15 months
  • Ideal for Nitrox and oxygen-enriched gas use

All cylinders are returned filled with air as standard. If you require a Nitrox or Trimix fill, simply let us know when dropping off your cylinder and we’ll prepare the required blend for an additional charge.

Additional Charges

The following items are not included within standard testing prices:

Replacement Valve Parts

Occasionally valves require replacement components such as:

  • Handwheels
  • Burst discs
  • Spindles
  • Other manufacturer-specific parts

These will only be fitted after discussing the requirements with you.

Internal Shot Blasting

Where internal corrosion is found, shot blasting may be required to restore the cylinder interior.

Price: £30 (£25 for members)
