The rEvo III is one of the most advanced and versatile closed circuit rebreathers available, combining proven reliability with modern electronic control. Its hybrid CCR capability gives divers the best of both worlds—automated oxygen control for ease of use, with the ability to revert to manual operation for ultimate redundancy and control.
Built around a compact, back-mounted design and a unique dual scrubber system, the rEvo delivers exceptional breathing performance, streamlined ergonomics, and a configuration that can grow with you from advanced recreational diving through to full technical exploration.
Why Choose the rEvo III?
- Hybrid CCR capability – automated control with full manual backup
- Unique dual scrubber system for enhanced safety and performance
- Compact, travel-friendly design across multiple sizes
- Low work of breathing for comfort at depth
- Fully compatible with leading Shearwater electronics
- Built for progression from CCR entry through to advanced technical diving
Hybrid CCR System
The rEvo III is available in a hybrid CCR configuration, combining automatic oxygen control with a constant mass flow system. This provides:
- Stable PPO₂ control during the dive
- Reduced task loading compared to manual CCR
- Continuous oxygen addition as a built-in safety layer
- The ability to operate the unit manually if required
This dual approach makes the rEvo an ideal platform for both learning and long-term progression.
Signature Dual Scrubber Design
The rEvo’s defining feature is its dual scrubber system, with two canisters arranged in series:
- Compact and streamlined unit design
- Reduced breathing resistance
- Improved CO₂ absorption efficiency
- Increased redundancy compared to single scrubber systems
This design is unique to rEvo and is a key reason for its reputation in demanding environments.
